Charles David “Charlie” Beasley 75 years of age of Marvin, VA, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. Born in Willow Ben, WV, January 8, 1944 he was the son of the late James Robert Beasley and Marjori Ellen Beasley.
Charlie was a US Army National Guard Veteran and was a employee of Corner Stone Mining. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching gospel television and reading his Bible. He would do anything to help his family, friends and neighbors and loved working on cars. Loving husband, father and brother.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Virginia Carol Putton and his brother James William “Bill” Beasley.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty eight years and eight months Nancy Ilene Ward Beasley of Marvin, VA; son Keith (Tammy) Ward of Grundy, VA; sisters Barbara Sue Furrow of Roanoke, VA, Sandra (Woody) Hanna of Renick, WV; brothers Robert (Mary Ann) Beasley of Union, WV.
Also survived by his nieces Renee Lusker, Jennifer Fry, Andrea Dorsett, Adrienne Atkins; nephews Paul Beasley, Jarod Patton, Alex Hanna and Jack Hanna.
Funeral services for Charles David “Charlie” Beasley will be conducted Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home of Keen Mountain, VA with Brother Joe Bill “William” Proffitt and Pastor Joey Proffitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA.
The family will receive friends at the funereal home after 6:00 p.m. Friday where evening service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Full Military Rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the VFW#7360 and the American Legion Post#164 of Grundy, VA.
