Fred C. Walls, 88, of Panther, WV, passed from this life on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Glenwood Retirement Village. He was born on March 25, 1931 in Princeton, WV and was the son of the late Clayton and Hallie Walls. Fred was a retired deputy sheriff of McDowell County and served in the Korean War. He was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Donnie, Bobby, Preston and Dennis (Buck) Walls; five sisters, Geraldine Walls, Nancy Inscore, Virginia (Annie) Garten, Freda Cooper, and Imogene Church; and one granddaughter, Marchell England.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy Bell Walls of Panther, WV; one sister, Ellen (Randy) Barker of Princeton, WV, one daughter, Barbara (Don) England of Iaeger, WV; three sons, Mitchell (Lefon) Estep, Fred (Judy) Walls Jr., and James (Sharon) Walls all of Princeton, WV; grandchildren, Damon (Autumn) England of Clearfork, WV, Malorie (Michael) Morgan of Bluefield, WV, Megan Estep, Steven (Melissa) Walls, Tiffany Walls, LeAnn Walls, Jimmy Brennan and Joey Smith all of Princeton, WV and great grandchildren, Rylee and Shade England, Blaine and Kerrigan Morgan, Kaitlyn, Kaden, Kaylee and Sophie Walls.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 1 p.m. with Pastor John Wheeler and Reverend Martin West officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in the Mike Vance Cemetery at Trap Fork near Panther, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 12 noon until the time of services at 1.
Pallbearers will be Damon England, Michael Morgan, Steve England and Jeffery Walls.
