JANET “GEORGIE” (CHRISTIAN) SHAMBLIN, 76 years of age of Bradshaw, WV, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the Welch Community Hospital. Born in Jolo, WV, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Ethel (Davis) Christian. She was a resident of Bradshaw, WV, and was of the Pentecostal Faith. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher and a wonderful homemaker. She loved God, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Lee Shamblin in 1990; 1-Brother: James Christian; 2-Infant Brothers: Joseph and Ben; 3-Sisters: Gay Shamblin, Barbara Jenks and Reneda Crigger; 2-Infant Sisters: Elizabeth Cheyenne and Alli Marie.
Those left to cherish her memory include her Daughter: Lexie Morgan Laconis (William “Ronnie” Sellers) Greensboro, GA; 4-Sons: Remly Lee Shamblin (Vicki Muncy) Tampa, FL, Bill Grayson Shamblin, Tampa, FL, Allan Grayson Shamblin (Andrea Shamblin), Springfield, MO, Jonathan Douglas Hollingsworth, Augusta, Ga; Grandchildren: Michael Shamblin, Nichole Shamblin, Sonny Tipton, Skylar Tatem (Chelsea Tatem), Cheyenne Tatem, Natalie Hollingsworth, Tiffany Muncy, E.J. Muncy; Great-Grandchildren: Hunter Shamblin, Alyssa Shamblin, Katherine Shamblin, Dustin DeMarco, Jason DeMarco; 1-Brother: Oral Virgil “Buddy” Christian, Bradshaw, WV.
Also, survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for JANET “GEORGIE” (CHRISTIAN) SHAMBLIN will be conducted Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Jesus Church of Bartley with Pete Woods officiating. Janet will be joining her husband Sonny Shamblin in Lakeland, FL.
Friends may call at the Jesus Church of Bartley Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
