Loyd Demas Addair, age 89, of Raysal, WV, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 at McDowell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Gary, WV.  Born January 2, 1930, he was the son of the late Sam Addair and Allie Davis.

He was a former Coal Miner & resident of McDowell County of The Christian Faith who loved music and fishing.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters: Ms. Suzie Reed, Ms. Dexter Sturgill & Ms. Delvie Addair, as well as three brothers: Mr. Cleveland Addair, Mr. Ezra Addair & Mr. Luther Addair. Also preceding him in passing was a special friend: Ms. Hazel Payne.

  Survivors include one brother: Mr. Lee Addair of St. Augustine, FL and one son: Mr. Larry Sweeney and Wife Angela of Watersville, OH. 

  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 12 PM from the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in War, WV with Pastor Pete Woods officiating.  Burial will follow at Short Ridge Cemetery in Atwell, WV.

  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at Fanning Funeral Home in War, WV.

  Pallbearers will be family & friends.
