James Edwin Lively, 62, of Ikes Fork, WV, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 in the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY.

James was born April 9, 1957 a son of the late Clarence and Lola “Irene” Lively.  He was a coal miner and enjoyed watching westerns and the Dallas Cowboys.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing, and going to the beach.

In addition to his parents James was preceded in death by five brothers, Billy Ray, Jerry Clarence, John David, Charles Steven and Jeffery Thomas Lively; one niece, Annette Truitt; one nephew, Eddie Lee Cline and one great nephew, Brayden Lee Cline.

Survivors include his wife, Jewell Lively of the home; two brothers, Teddy Joe Lively of Wimauma, FL and Freddy Dale Lively of Ikes Fork, WV; four sisters, Janice Porter of Sun City Center, FL; Lois Ann Williamson of Loris, SC, Rita Faye Irick of Ikes Fork, WV, and Laverne Dickerson of Logan, WV; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Judy Bragg.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 12 noon with Reverend James Cline officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV.  Burial will follow in the Lively Cemetery on Beartown Mountain near Beartown, WV.  Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. 

Friends may visit with the family Friday evening, October 25, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV.
