Peggy Sue Jones, 81, of Bradshaw, WV, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 in Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy, VA.

Peggy was born October 6, 1938 a daughter of the late Jessie and Ocie Brewster Woods. She was a homemaker and enjoyed going to church, raising chickens and caring for children.

In addition to her parents Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Vester Jones Sr.; three sons, Vester Jones Jr., Timothy Ray Jones, and Danny Lee Jones; granddaughter, Nekeisha Dawn Davis Stacy; grandson, Dakota Dalton Jones; three sisters, Susie Hamilton, Margie Marie Cline, and Mary E. Church; and six brothers, John, William, James, Robert, Buddy and Ronnie Woods.  

Survivors include seven children, Jerry Edward Jones and Wanda of Detroit, MI, Kathy Davis of the home, Patricia Carmen Doerr  of North Carolina, Kenny Lee Jones of the home, Ricky Lee Jones and Amanda of Davy, WV, Jacob Ryan Jones and Morgan of Mooresville, NC, and Elizabeth Sue Jones Benson of Burlington, NC; ten grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; three sisters, Patsy Osborne of Maryland, Cheryl Woods of Delaware, and Lois Daugherty of Bradshaw, WV; and two brothers Reverend Pete Woods and Reverend Jessie Woods both of Bradshaw.  

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 12 noon with Reverend Wilmer Mucny, Reverend Tommy Jenks, Reverend Kenneth Davis, Reverend Pete Woods and reverend Jessie Woods officiating at the Jesus Church of Bartley, Bartley, WV.  Burial will follow in the Woods Cemetery on Oozley Mountain near Bradshaw, WV.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. 

Friends may visit with the family Friday evening, November 1, 2019 after 6 p.m. at the Jesus Church of Bartley in Bartley, WV, where evening service will be held at 7 p.m.
