Domestic Dispute Leads to Drug Arrest

JOLO, WV – On Christmas Eve, Deputies with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic dispute in the Jolo area of McDowell County. 

Upon arrival, Deputies arrested Justin Parker, 25, of Iaeger, WV as well as spotting drug paraphernalia in plain view. 

Parker was charged with Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with Intent to Deliver (Cocaine) and Possession of Prescription Medication without a prescription. Deputies seized the drugs, a sum of money and a firearm. 

Parker was arraigned before Magistrate Richard VanDyke and a bond of $50,000.00 was set. He was remanded into the McDowell Holding Unit awaiting transport to the Southwestern Regional Jail at the time of this release.
