Geneva (Tiny) Dawson passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019, at her residence.

Geneva was born November 29, 1943, in Grundy, VA a daughter of the late Marvin and Virgie McClanahan Vance.  She was the owner/operator of Tiny’s 52 Club near Iaeger, WV.  

In addition to her parents she preceded in death by her siblings, Juanita Vance, Bobby, Lonnie, and Olan Vance, Robert McClanahan and Alice McKinney.

Survivors include her husband Douglas Dawson of the home; one son, Richard Vance and wife Sandra of Panther; special nephew, whom she raised as her own, Bruce Vance of Iaeger; three grandchildren, Richie Vance and wife Kayla of Panther, Katrina Vance  and Trevor of Princeton, and Baylei Vance of Iaeger; one great grandson, Bentlee Douglas Vance of Panther; one great granddaughter, Adrian Foley of Panther; one sister, Mattie Murphy and husband Dean and one brother, Archie Dotson; sister-in-law, Linda Vance of Oakwood and Prescilla McClanahan of Brushy Fork, VA; numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much; special niece, Kim McCoy of Panther; very special friend Pam Belcher of Iaeger.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 12 o’clock with Reverend Clinton Jackson and Reverend Michael Brooks officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger.  Burial will follow in the Dawson Cemetery on Atwell Mountain near Atwell.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. 

Friends may visit with the family Wednesday evening, November 20, 2019 from 6 to 9 at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger.
