Lola Maxine Hoskins, 76, of Winston Salem, NC, formerly of Kyle/Northfork, WV, passed away November 25, 2019, surrounded by her family.
Born May 5, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin H. Clemons, Sr. and Bertha E. Holland. Lola was educated in McDowell County.
Lola was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Hoskins; daughter, Erica M. Hoskins; and brother, Larry Holland.
Survivors include her children: James (Darlene) Hoskins, of Winston Salem, NC; Melvin Hoskins, of Charleston, WV; Malcolm (Towalome) Hoskins, of Fayetteville, NC; Jamie Hoskins, of Winston Salem, NC; brothers: Curtis (Yvonne) Holland, of Fayetteville, NC; Ben Harris Clemson of Bluefield, WV; Alonzo (Barbara) Clemons, of Yonkers, NY; Clavin (Josephine) Clemons of Charlotte, NC; Ruby (Betty) Holland of Manhattan, NY; and Richard (Donna) Holland of Fayetteville, NC; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of devoted nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.
Lola had a presence without speaking a word. She will truly be missed, but always loved, and remembered by her children, grandchildren, and brothers as their “angel on earth”.
Home going Services will be conducted at 12pm, on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Mercy Seat Baptist Church 35237 Coal Heritage Road Kyle, WV 24855. Viewing will begin at 11 am.
