Marvin Dennis Woody Sr. 72, of Kyle, WV, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at his residence.

Born December 25, 1946 in Vivian, McDowell County WV, he was the son of Lillie Mae Slaughter

and the late Hezekiah Woody Sr.

Mr. Woody was a member of the Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Kyle, WV, and was

a previous employee of United Pocahontas Coal Company of Algoma, WV.

Other than his father, Mr. Woody was preceded in death by three brothers; Lippity, Roger and

Hezekiah Jr.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Myrtle Mathews Woody. One son, Marvin Woody Jr.

and wife Lisa. One daughter, Rosa Hewitt. Two sisters, Carolyn and Darlene. One brother, James

and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Kimball Elementary School,

11: AM with Pastor Walter E. Clay officiating. Entombment will follow at

Restlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Rout 20, Bluefield, WV. The family will receive visitors from

10:am until the hour of service at the school. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
