Mary Louise  Mitchem age 79, of Avondale, WV passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 in Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV.

Mary Lou was born March 4, 1940 in Bradshaw, West Virginia a daughter of the late Taylor and Virgie Lucille Bellew Christian.  Mary Lou love to travel, cooking for the little league teams and loved her family and friends dearly.

In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Mitchem; three children, Darrell Addair, John Mitchem and Tina Spencer; two brothers, Ronnie Christian and Kermit Short.

Survivors include two daughters, Donnetta Delong of Columbia, SC and Libby Elizabeth Lundy of High Point, NC; four sons, Leon Addair and wife Lisa of North Wilkesboro, NC, Corbett Coleman of Ridgeway, VA, Timmy Addair and wife Michelle of Thomasville, NC and Brian Delong and Jessica Graham of Avondale, WV. One brother Freddie Christian and wife Ann of Princeton WV; two sisters, June Chadwell of Columbus OH and Carol Waldron of Tazewell, VA; eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and a host of special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 12 noon with Reverend Danny Bowles and Reverend John Wheeler officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV Burial will follow in the Mullins Cemetery on Crane Ridge near Avondale WV.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. 

Friends may visit with the family Friday evening, December 6, 2019 at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m.
