Julia Violet Chatman, 74 of Carswell Hollow, Kimball, WV, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at her residence with her family by her side. Born April 7, 1945 in Carswell, she was the daughter of the late Tony Delgrande and Teresa Mary Muscatella.
Julia loved being around her family. She enjoyed refinishing antique furniture and at one time was an antique dealer and proprietor of “Dust Reflections” in Bluefield, WV. She also enjoyed flea marketing,
gardening and was an avid reader. Julia touched the hearts of many and will be sadly missed.
Other than her parents, Julia was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Delgrande and his wife Joy. Domenick Delgrande and one niece, Angie Delgrande.
Survivors include: Her loving and devoted husband of 46 years, J.L. Carl “Jay” Chatman.One sister, Carmella Watson of the home and one brother, Phillip Delgrande and wife Bridget of Princeton, WV. Sister-In-Law , Jeanette Delgrande of Glenwood, WV. Nieces and Nephews: Tracey Delgrande, Domenick Delgrande Jr. Joanna Boyd and husband Brad, Tony Delgrande, Phillip Michael Delgrande and Danielle Delgrande.
Julia was also blessed with nine great-nieces and nephews as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Services will be held Friday, January, 17, 2020 at 12: noon in the Widener Funeral Home Chapel Northfork, WV, with Pastor Randal Dority officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluefield, WV. The family will receive visitors Thursday, January 16,2020 from 6 until 9:PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be: Matt Bishop, Jimmy Joe Gianato, Luke Gianato, Bobby Smith,Adam Gianato, Tom Acosta and Phillip Delgrande Jr.
