Preston Kirk Long, 63, of Troutman, NC, formerly of Iaeger, WV, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 in Gordon’s Hospice House in Statesville, NC.

    Kirk was born September 22, 1956 in Welch, WV, a son of the late Douglas and Fredia Browning Long.  

    In addition to his parents, Kirk was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer Long.   

    Survivors include his daughter, Angela Follrod and husband Shawn of Troutman, NC; two sons, Zachery Long and James D. Vest both of Troutman, NC; sister, Peggy Smith of Manassas, VA; brother, Jerry Long and Tonya of Oak Hill, WV, granddaughter, Chantal Martin and husband Jadon of Cleveland, NC, grandson, Dalton Follrod of Troutman, NC, great grandchildren, Monica Steele, Tiffany Hall and Shawn Follrod; great-great grandchildren, Avery, Landon, Jacob, Brentlee, Caleb, Carlie, Aiden, Titus, and Jesse; nieces and nephews, Cori, Jill, Cara, Halee, Alexus, and Caiden.

     Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1 o’clock with Pastor Chancey Carter officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV.  Burial will follow in the High Knob Cemetery on Coon Branch Mountain near Iaeger, WV.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. 

    Friends may visit with the family Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger.
