Sharon Kay Needham, 55, of Kannapolis, NC, formerly of Iaeger, WV, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 in Concord Hospital in Concord, NC.
Sharon was born December 6, 1964 in Welch, WV, a daughter of Buster Stanley and the late Joyce Stanley. She was a homemaker and loved her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, Joyce Stanley, Sharon was preceded in death by her daughter, Natashia Newberry.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Needham his son and daughter of Kannapolis, NC; father, Buster Stanley and wife, Bernice of Long Pole, WV; three sons, DJ Newberry, Nathan Newberry and wife Erin, and Beau Newberry all of Iaeger, WV; six grandchildren, Megan Reynolds, Kaiden Newberry, Kayleigh Anderson, Tucker Newberry, Kiahna Livingston and Londyn Newberry; two sisters, Beth Bevill of West Virginia and Dee Dee Lipscomb and husband Jamie of South Carolina; one brother BJ Stanley of West Virginia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tim and Judy Newberry, Eddie and Chris Newberry, and Michael and Tish Newberry all of Iaeger, WV; an aunt and uncle Sharon and John Short also of West Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, additional family and friends whom she loved dearly.
Sharon’s body has been cremated. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 1 p.m. with Reverend Johnnie Mae Staley, Reverend Vickie Coburn, and Elder Fred Bailey officiating at the Morning Star Regular Baptist Church at Long Pole near Panther, WV.
