JESSE KENNE

Jesse Kenne, 73, of Raysal, WV, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020, in CAMC Memorial in Charleston, WV.

Jesse was born April 29, 1946, in Panther, WV, a son of the late Everett and Thelma Vance Keene.  He drove an Ashland Oil truck for numerous years; was a United States Army veteran, and a member of the Raysal Fire Department.     

In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan Rose Hylton Keene, a son-in-law, James Hall and numerous siblings.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Thelma Keene of the home; four sons, James Keene and wife Felicia of Denver, NC; Jessie Keene Jr. of Pikeville, KY, Thomas Poore of Raysal and Michael Poore and wife Lanette of Booneville, NC; two daughters, Ursula Workman and husband Robert of Patriot, OH and Jacquelyn Hall of Raysal, WV; eight grandchildren, Shannon Keene, Justin Keene, Faith Poore, Nathaniel Poore, Eric Keene, Susanna Workman and Jacob Poore; fours brothers, Bobby Keene of Wyoming County, WV, Ray Keene of Kendallville, IN, Jerry Keene of Ligonier, IN, and Newton Keene of Lexington, NC; two sisters, Pinkie Sanders of Indiana and Martha Perdue of Bartley, WV; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 14, 2020 at 11 o’clock with Reverend Jerry Stacy officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Following his service Last Call will be conducted by the Raysal Fire Department. Burial will follow in Tom Sparks Cemetery on Bradshaw Mountain at Rockridge near Paynesville, WV, where military graveside rites will be conducted by the VFW Post #1144.  Serving as pallbearers will be Gene Kennedy, Scottie Perez Sr., William Kenderick, Shay Bryant, Bryan Endicott and Jacob Poore.  Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Compton, Doug Kendrick, Clifford Kenrick and Frankie Underwood. 

Friends may visit with the family Thursday evening, February 13, 2020 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV.
