Rosie Jackson Featured Speaker at Upcoming Lunch & Learn Meeting

WELCH, WV – McDowell County Chamber of Commerce’s “Lunch & Learn” will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at noon in the Jack Caffrey Arts and Cultural Center. The featured speaker will be Rosie Jackson from SAFE. 

Rosie Jackson will be giving a presentation on Teen Dating Violence as well as Black History Awareness Month. Ms. Jackson has ben employed at Stop Abuse Family Environments, Inc. (SAFE) as a Victims Advocate for 16 years. She does presentations at community agencies and all local schools. Ms. Jackson is a lifetime resident of McDowell County and the mother of four daughters. 

SAFE is a non-profit licensed domestic violence shelter located in McDowell County with outreach in Mercer and Wyoming counties. Services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and all other related crimes are free of charge. Services include housing, court advocacy, and information/referrals to other victim support agencies. 

The “Lunch & Learn” meeting is open to the public and the public is urged to attend. A light lunch will be available.
