MATEWAN -A quartet of underclassmen scored in double digits Tuesday to lead Westside past Mingo Central 76-70.
Sophomore Evan Colucci led the four with 23 points, followed by juniors Ethan Blackburn and Daniel Reed, who added 16 apiece and Tommy Milan who chipped in 13.
The victory improved the Renegades to 11-9 on the campaign, with Westside set to host Shady Spring this evening.
Senior Drew Hatfield took game scoring honors with 24 points for the Miners, with sophomore Jarius Jackson contributing 14. Seniors Devin Hatfield and William May added 11 points apiece for Mingo Central.
The Miners will play at Lincoln County this evening.
