ANITA SUE PAYNE VANCE


Anita Sue Payne Vance, 61 years of age of Princeton, WV, formerly of Bradshaw, WV, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020 in Princeton Community Hospital. Born March 21, 1958 in Welch, WV, she was the daughter of the late Isiah “Red” Payne and Mary Ellen Hatfield Payne.
Anita enjoyed sewing, making blankets, taking pictures, shopping, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed being a mother and grandmother, and loved spending time with her family who were truly her world. She was of the Christian faith, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and welcomed everyone with open arms.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers James Willard Payne and Donald Gene Payne, sisters Connie Fayne McKinney and Iris Ann Cooper, and her fur baby of sixteen years and whom she loved as a child Maggy.
Those left to cherish her memories include her loving husband of forty-three years Larry Mythias Vance of Princeton, WV; daughters Aperia Hope Vance of the home, Amy Lynn Vance Pruett and husband Steven of Rock, WV, Anna Vanover and husband Mason of Iaeger, WV; brothers Roland Payne and wife Ann of Milton, WV, Herbert Payne of Jolo, WV, Leon Payne of Arizona.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren Andrew McClanahan and wife Gabby of Bradshaw, WV, Cody Coleman and wife Courtney of Goldsboro, NC, Amber McClanahan and companion Anthony Banks of Princeton, WV, Kelsey Coleman of Princeton, WV, Abigail McClanahan and fiancé Justin Sparks of Paynesville, WV, Brooklynn Blankenship and Allie Vanover both of Iaeger, WV; seven great-grandchildren Annabelle Coleman, Sawyer Coleman, Addyson Ruckman, Jaxon McClanahan, Abel McClanahan, Amelia Amick and Karston Banks, a host of family and friends and two life long friends Vickie Allen and Diane Powell, and special niece Gaynell Shrewsberry.
Funeral service for Anita Sue Payne Vance will be held at the Three Forks Church of the Living God in Jolo, WV, Sunday, February 23, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverends Pete Woods and Jim Justus officiating. Burial will follow in the Simon Payne Cemetery on Keen Ridge Road in Paynesville, WV.
Active pallbearers will be her family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Three Forks Church of the Living God, Saturday, after 6:00 p.m. with evening service to be held at 7:00 p.m.
