GEORGIA MAXINE BELLOMY


Georgia Maxine Bellomy, 81 of Bluefield, WV, formerly of McDowell County went to be with the Lord Friday, February 21, 2020 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born September 24, 1 938 in War, WV, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Rife and Etta Lester Rife.
Georgia was of the Pentecostal faith. One of her passions was working with the children of her community. She enjoyed interior design, cooking, and most of all, flea marketin g. Georgia’s family was her life and her world. Being there for her children to help guide them through the hardships in life. She will be sadly missed.
Other than her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her husband of 60 ye ars, Jay B. Bellomy and three children; Barbara New, Jay Bellomy Jr. and Rena Pack.
Survivors include: Shelby Casper of Coalwood, WV, Kathy Mullins of Matoaka, WV, Virginia Kemp of Bluewell, WV, Alice Caton, Alice Canton of Bluewell, WV, and Tony Bellomy of M atoaka, WV. Grandchildren: Michelle Cooper, Michael Paul Lee, Jason Cooper, Amy Stillwell, Jamie Stillwell, Carl Mullins,Daniel Canton, T J Pack, Cody Pack, Thomas Canton, Monica Kemp, Clark Kemp, Chase Kemp, JJ Bellomy, Lacy Bellomy, and a multitude of great and great, great-grandchildren as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Services will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Widener Funeral Home Chapel, 12: noon with Rev. Jerry Coburn officiating. Burial will follow at Steele Community Cemetery in Huff Creek, WV. Friends may call Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 6 until 8: PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Family and friends.
