Shady Springs To Life In Second Quarter For 72-56 Win Over Westside

CLEAR FORK – The Shady Spring Tigers trailed host Westside 22-14 after the inaugural chapter Friday evening before coming to life to outgun the Renegades 24-6 in the second stanza on the way to a 72-56 decision.
The victory was the 20th in 21 games for the Tigers, who were led in scoring by Nicholas County transfer Luke LeRose, who tossed in 18. Senior Tommy Williams contributed 15 and freshman Braeden Chapman finished with 13.
Juniors Daniel Reed and Ethan Blackburn scored 13 points apiece for the 11-10 Renegades, with sophomore Evan Colucci notching 11.
Westside will entertain Wyoming East tomorrow evening in the regular season finale for both clubs, while the Tigers will travel to South Charleston for their regular season finale.
