Westside Stops Wyoming East In Regular Season Finales

CLEAR FORK – The Westside Renegades stopped Wyoming East 61-40 Tuesday evening in the regular season finales for both teams.
The Renegades were led in scoring by junior Ethan Blackburn, who netted 20 points, while senior Anthony Martin paced the Warriors with 13.

Fellow junior Daniel Reed added 11 for Westside, while senior Jacob Bishop and freshman Chandler Johnson scored 10 apiece for East.
The Warriors, who concluded the regular season 6-16, will travel to Liberty Raleigh Friday evening to face the Raiders in the opening round of the Class AA Region III Section 1 tournament.
Westside, now 12-10, will square off against the winner of that contest next Tuesday at the Raleigh County Convention Center.
