
GARDNER – The PikeView Lady Panthers had five players score in twin digits Thursday evening to defeat Wyoming East 83-51 in the Class AA Region III Co-finals.
The Lady Panthers advanced to next week’s girls’ high school state tournament with the win and will face Fairmont Wednesday at 9:30 to inaugurate the 2020 event at the Charleston Civic Center Coliseum.
Seniors Makenzie Shrewsbury and sophomore Hannah Perdue led the way for PikeView with 16 points apiece, while the senior twin towers of Shiloh Bailey and Laken McKinney added 14 points each. Bailey finished her night’s work with 10 rebounds and McKinney hauled down 8 misfires.
Fellow senior Hope Craft tossed in 10 for the 17-8 Lady Panthers.
Junior Sky Davidson scored 18 points to lead the 15-7 East squad, which featured no seniors on its roster.
