Mrs. Wilma Lee Hale, 68, of Bartley, WV, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at her home. She passed from this world to receive her Heavenly reward that she spoke of so often the past several years.
Mrs. Hale was born February 22, 1952 in Atwell, a daughter of the late Arber and Virgie Dunford Addair. She took great pride in being the pastor’s wife and assisted her husband in his pastor-ship of the Atwell Mountain United Church of God since 1976. Her favorite thing to do was to attend church and testify about God’s miracles, which he had done in her life, whenever she was given the opportunity.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by one sister, Alice Deskins, as well as several brothers, Mike Johnson, Eugene Addair, Ray Click, and Charles Click.
Left to cherish her memory are, her loving husband of more than fifty two years of marriage, Reverend Roger L. Hale Sr.; son, Roger L. Hale, Jr. and wife Ammie of Raysal; daughter, Valerie (Sissy) Blankenship and husband Burb of Mohawk; seven grandchildren, Danielle Renee Neal and husband Derek of Princeton, Shayna Lester and husband CJ of Charleston, and Roger L. Hale III and wife Alyssa of Burlington, NC, Kameron Nelson and husband Anthony of Simon, her miracle babies, twins, Gabriel and Madison (Mouse) Blankenship of Mohawk and Peyton Hale of Raysal; five great grandchildren, Levi Dudleson, Emily and Kylie Neal all of Princeton, Jayson and Braylon Nelson of Simon; two sisters, Charlotte Mullins of Charlotte, NC and Annie Bocook and husband Preston of Richmond, VA; two brothers, A.C. Click and wife Lola of Tazewell, VA and Earnest Addair and wife Wanda of North Tazewell, VA; and a host of nieces and nephews. She also claimed numerous adopted grandchildren from her church and community; they all had a special place in her heart. She loved going to church and praising God and welcomed anyone with a warm smile.
