Wyoming County Confirms First Positive COVID-19 Case

Wyoming County Health Department has confirmed the first positive case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Wyoming County today, April 6th, 2020.  

Health Department staff are working diligently to gather information regarding this case and to identify any residents who may have had contact with this individual. Appropriate quarantine and monitoring have been put into place.  

The WCHD reminds everyone to practice social distancing, frequently wash your hands, and stay at home.  Also announced today was closure of public access to Wyoming County’s Mapping and Addressing Office as well as the Building Permit Office.  

“All addressing and building permit requests will be handled by phone, fax, email or regular mail until further notice,” said Dean Meadows, Director of Wyoming County 911/OES.
