Donald Thomas Rose 82 of Kimball, WV (Carswell Hollow) went to his Heavenly Home, Monday, April 13, 2020 at his residence following a short illness with his two children and son-in-law by his side, Born December 9, 1937
in Eckman, WV he was the son of the late Arthur Rose, William Harvey and Edith Victoria Comer Parks.
Donald was a resident of McDowell Continuous Care in Gary, WV for the past two years in which time he grew to love the staff. Prior to that he had been a resident of Carswell Hollow for forty years.
Other than his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha (Pez) Mitchem Rose. Daughter Tina and son Mark. Second wife, Wanda Rose and grandson Dana Lee Green Rose. Brothers William (Bill), Michael, Steve, Timothy and Larry Parks.
Survivors include: one son, Donald Lee Rose of Elkhorn Bottom. One daughter, Edith Graham and husband Brian of Kimball, (Carswell Hollow) WV. Brothers: Blane and Charmayne Parks of Woodbridge, VA. Joseph and Suzette Parks of Lerona, WV. Sterling and Jasmine Parks of Bracey, WV. Sisters : Bonnie Hale of Lashmeet, WV. Phyllis and Jim Sporing of Woodbridge, VA. Donald was also blessed with seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Services will be held Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the Widener Funeral Home Chapel in Northfork, WV with Pastor Omar Burns officiating at 1: PM. (Social distancing enforced). Burial will follow at Alfred Cemetery Eckman, WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
