Big Creek People in Action Receive Donation from Credit Bureau of the Virginias Foundation

Jimmy Welch, Executive Director of The Credit Bureau of the Virginias Foundation, Inc. recently presented a $2,500 check to Co-Executive Directors Marsha Timpson and Dyanne Spriggs of Big Creek People in Action, a Family Resource Center in Caretta, WV. This funding will be used to support the organization’s education programs.

“We are very grateful for the continued support from the Credit Bureau of the Virginias Foundation,” said Dyanne Spriggs. “These funds will support our in-school tutors, afterschool program, summer camp, public computer lab, and other services provided to increase the educational level of people living in McDowell County.”

According to Mr. Welch, the foundation was created to promote the quality of life of area citizens by supporting local charitable, scientific, and educational programs. Co-Executive Director Marsha Timpson said, “We believe that a quality education is fundamental in helping people reach their full potential. The Credit Bureau of the Virginias is helping to make this possible through their support of local organizations who are working to make a difference in the area that they serve.”
