Agnes Annilee Bryant, 82, of Iaeger, WV, passed away Friday, May 8, 2020.   

Agnes was born November 23, 1937 in Iaeger, WV a daughter of the late Marion Rufus and Matilda Payne Gillespie.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt.  When she gave you a goodbye hug she would always say “Mommy loves you.”

In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Bryant Sr.; one son, David Bryant, three brothers, Cecil Gillespie, Nathan Gillespie, and Marion Rufus Gillespie Jr.; four sisters, Ollie Mae Mitchell, Ellen Wise, Daisy Gillespie, and Ruby Callahan.  

Survivors include four daughters, Patsy Steele and husband Quincy of Horse Creek, Wilma Sue Simms and husband Johnny of Iaeger, Ellen Bryant of Iaeger and Anna Bowles of Sandy Huff; two sons, Andy Bryant Jr. and wife Cindy of Iaeger, and William Mickey Bryant and Liz Trent also of Iaeger; two sons-in-law, Keith Roberson of Iaeger and Jabo Bowles of Pleasant Gardens, NC; one sister, Ocie Evans of Columbus, OH; one brother-in-law, Dave Wise of Columbus, OH; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved as much as her own children.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 12 o’clock with Reverend Rusty Mullins officiating at the High Knob Church of God on Coon Branch Mountain near Iaeger, WV.  Burial will follow in the Blevins Cemetery at Vance Hollow near Iaeger, WV.  Serving as pallbearers will be Andy Bryant Jr., Mickey Bryant, Johnny Simms, Tobe Powell, Russell Roberson, Keith Roberson, Patrick Roberson, Steven Bryant, Nick Bryant, Bud Callahan, Andy Rufus Mitchell and Ronnie Hall. 

Friends may visit with the family Monday, May 11, 2020 after 6 p.m. at the High Knob Church of the Living God on Coon Branch Mountain near Iaeger, WV.
