ATV Riders Video Prompts DEP to Seal Mine in Logan County

The DEP's Office of Abandoned Mine Lands and Reclamation recently sealed off this abandoned mine portal in Logan County after receiving word that a group of riders using the Hatfield and McCoy ATV trail had entered it and posted the video on social media. The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection would like to remind everyone that entering an abandoned underground mine is extremely dangerous and could result in serious injury or death . . .
