Donald Lee Hagerman, 82, of Welch, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at his residence. Born December 30, 1937 in Yukon he was the son of the late Isham Hagerman and Zola Hale Hagerman.
Don was an employee and current Manager of The Douglas Mortuary in Welch for over 50 years. Don was a former resident of War before moving to Welch. He was a Veteran of the U.S Army, a member of the American Legion Post 8 of Welch and also a member of the 40 & 8 and he attended several churches in the county.
In addition to his parents Don was preceded in death by four sisters, Alice Hagerman, Ruby Barnett, Faye Mahone and his twin sister Peggy Estep; two brothers, J. B. Hagerman and Ray Dodson; and a daughter Sandra Collis.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted wife, Linda Douglas of the home; one son, Donald Lee Hagerman and wife Ginger of Bessemer City, NC; two daughters, Jennifer Dunford and husband Rick of Warriormine, Jennifer Douglas and fiancé Billy Blankenship of Beckley; one brother, Ralph Hagerman and wife Sherry of Fredericksburg, VA; two sisters, Joanne Peterson of Virginia Beach, VA and Linda Cole of Hillsville, VA; five grandchildren, Christina Johnson and husband Billy of Pounding Mill, VA, Ricky “Roo” Dunford and fiancé Micah Addair of Bluefield, VA, Donald Lee Hagerman III of Cedartown, GA, Sarah Tardell and husband Tony of Mocksville, NC and Josh Anderson of Suffolk, VA; seven great grandchildren, Chloe and Maggie Muncy, Olivia Johnson, Ricky Dunford III, Sierra Tardell, Emma and Kayson Hagerman.
Private Funeral Services for the family and close friends will be conducted Friday, May 22, 2020 at 12:00 Noon from the Douglas Mortuary in Welch with his nephew Reverend Jerry Hagerman officiating. Close friends and family may call at the funeral home Friday from 11 AM to 12:00 Noon.
Entombment will follow at the Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA at around 2 PM, with military graveside rites conducted by the Iaeger V.F.W. Post 1144 of Iaeger. The graveside services will be open to the public.
Pallbearers will be family and co-workers.
