Roy Daniel Crigger, II, age 38 of North Tazewell, VA died Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. He was born February 25, 1982 in Bluefield, WV and was a son of Roy Daniel Crigger of Yukon, WV and Darlene Long Day of Jewel Ridge, VA. He was a Graduate of Big Creek High School, Class of 2000. Mr. Crigger had worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for N&S Railroad. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards, vintage action figures from the G.I. Joe series and Marvel Legends. He was an avid fan of WVU and Green Bay Packers football. He was a wonderful son, amazing husband and father and always provided for his family. Roy had a big and loud laugh and enjoyed making others laugh. He was a faithful believer in Christ Jesus and attended Canebrake Freewill Baptist Church at Canebrake, WV. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ray and Wanda Long; his paternal grandparents, Elmer Crigger, Anna Mae Crigger and Shirley Crigger, who he affectionately called his grandmother.
Those who survive to cherish his memory include his loving wife of twenty years, Natasha Addair Crigger, two children, Easton Elijah Daniel Crigger and Zamarah Ani Crigger, both of North Tazewell, VA; one sister, Summer Cheyanne Day of Richlands, VA; one brother, Matthew Shane Crigger of Richlands, VA; Father and Mother in-law, Jimmy and Debbie Hicks of Caretta, WV; two brothers in-law, Josiah Addair of Caretta, WV and Jeremy Addair of North Carolina; a special niece, Jaden Crigger of Jewel Ridge, VA; a host of other family members and many friends also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Crigger will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at the Canebrake Freewill Baptist Church in Canebrake, WV with Rev. Darrell Long officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Family members and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
The family will be at the Church around an hour before the service and will welcome any friends and family who would like to stop by.
