Troy Roberts Sr., 65, of Davy passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Welch Community Hospital in Welch following a long illness. Born August 19, 1954 in Panther, he was the son of the late Minerva Bea McCoy Roberts and Ervin Roberts.
Troy was a disabled coal miner and a member of the U.M.W.A. He was an avid Nascar fan, especially Jimmy Johnson and he loved fishing, he was a real family man.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step mother, Deloris Faye Roberts; one daughter-in-law, Marie Roberts; one son, Jason Dillon.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Amy Lane Roberts of the home; three sons, Troy Roberts Jr. of Princeton, Jeremy Roberts of Boone County, Daniel Roberts of the home; seven sisters, Pauline Vance of Welch, Janalee Vance of Portland, TN, Judy (Arnold) Vance, and Peggy (Eddie) Kessler all of Pineville, Melissa (John) Music, Rebecca (Howard) Akers, Leann (Jackie) Akers all of Davy; two brother, Tracy (Jamie) Roberts of Pineville and Frank (Brittany) Roberts of Davy; several nieces and nephews; first ex-wife, Frances Vance Roberts and second ex-wife, Tina Dillon; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be conducted Monday, May 25, 2020 at 12 Noon from the Twin Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church in Twin Branch with his niece, Reverend Teresa VanDyke and Rev. Joe Coleman officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11am to 12 Noon.
