Conley Justus, 73, of Panther, WV passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 in Princeton Community Hospital, Princeton, WV, following a long illness.
Conley was born July 3, 1946 in Hurley, VA, a son of the late Hillard and Nora Justus. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. Conley was baptized into the Old Regular Baptist Church. He enjoyed fixing things such as small engines and working on vehicles; he loved roses and working in his garden. Conley was a loving father who worked 26 years in the coal mines to provide for his family.
In addition to his parents Conley was preceded in death by his wife, Berniece Justus; several infant brothers and sisters; one sister, Edna Rasnake; and two brothers, Willis and Johnny Justus.
Survivors include four daughters, Tricia Bailey and husband Fred of Panther, WV, Jenny Brown and husband Will of Trap Hill , NC, Cary Baker and husband Coy of Roaring River, NC, and Hillary Gore and husband Michael of Milton, WV; five grandchildren, Andrew Brown and wife Chassidy of Trap Hill, NC, Hunter “Ally” Bailey of Panther, WV, Jacob Brown of Trap Hill, NC, Ethan Brown of Trap Hill, NC, and London Gore of Milton, WV; two great grandchildren, Lillian Brown and Rhett Brown both of Trap Hill, NC; three sisters, Ruth Rasnake of Panther, WV, Nargia Riffe and husband Odell of Panther and Nora Lester also of Panther, WV; three brothers, Buster Justus and wife Teresa of Panther, WV, Estil Justus and wife Susan of Welch, WV and Stewart Justus and wife Marie of Hurley, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 1 o’clock with Elders of the Old Regular Baptist Church officiating at the Little Zion Old Regular Baptist Church at Greenbrier near Panther, WV. Burial will follow in the Tom Lester Cemetery at Greenbrier near Panther, WV. Conley’s children and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit with the family Tuesday evening, June 2, 2020 after 6 p.m. at the Little Zion Old Regular Baptist Church at Greenbrier near Panther, WV. Evening services will be held at 7p.m.
