Walter Marvin Wright II, 71, of Welch passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at his residence. Born August 29, 1948 in Big Sandy, WV he was the son of the late Walter Marvin Wright and Frances Lynette Hillwig Wright. He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army, and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Wright.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Wanda Jean Wright of Randleman, NC; two sons, Walter Wright III and Billy Joe Wright and wife Heather all of Asheboro. NC; two sisters, Sandra Walker and husband Lee of Welch, and Virginia Franklin and husband Raymond of Princeton; and two grandchildren, Tyler and Nathan Wright of Asheboro.
The family will have a Memorial Service at a later date. In keeping with his wishes the body will be cremated.
