Tammy Mae Scott Shortridge, 54 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Buchanan General Hospital. Born February 21, 1966 in Sanduski, OH, she was the daughter of Shirley Ward Scott of War, WV and the late Jake Thornhill.
Tammy was a cheer mom for the Grundy Football and Bluefield College and cheer grandmother for Riverview Raiders in Bradshaw, WV. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her brothers Glenn Scott, Randall Scott and Jeff Moore and grandson Ethan Hatcher.
Survivors in addition to her mother Shirley Ward Scott of War, WV, include her loving husband of twenty-one years Jimmy Clayton Shortridge of Grundy, VA; daughter Rebecca (John) Hatcher of Grundy, VA, Laura Click of Chesterfield, VA, Lucinda Shortridge of Breaks, VA, Clarissa Meadows of Grundy, VA, Hope Shortridge and fiancé Aaron Baker of Bluefield, WV; son Earl Click of Mt. Olive, WV; sisters Ellen (Roger) White and Sherry (Steven) Keene all of War, WV, Laura Christian, Leila Poland, Elizabeth Stanton, Adriane Taylor all of Tazewell, VA; brothers Charles Jackson of War, WV, Michael Thornhill, Mike Thornhill, Christopher Thornhill all of Tazewell, VA.
She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Tammy Mae Scott Shortridge will be held at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Grundy, VA, Sunday, July 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Evangelist Bill Neeley officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Grundy, VA, Saturday, July 18th after 6:00 p.m. with evening service to be held at 7:00 p.m.
