Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

PREMIER, W.Va. – On July 27th, 2020 around 1:30 p.m. in the morning, Deputies made a traffic stop on US 52 near Premier, WV (near Welch). During the stop, Deputies found a large quantity of Methamphetamine and heroin.

Deputies arrested Jerry Jerome McKneely of Omar, WV and Anthony Rauch of Mingo County, WV.

Jerry Jerome McKneely was charged with Possession with intent to deliver a schedule I controlled substance, Possession with intent to deliver a schedule II-controlled substance, Felony Conspiracy and Driving Suspended.

McKneely was arraigned before Magistrate Steve Cox and a bond of $56,000 was set. He was remanded into the McDowell County Holding unit awaiting transport to the Southwestern Regional jail. 

Anthony Rauch was charged with Possession with intent to deliver a schedule I controlled substance, Possession with intent to deliver a schedule II-controlled substance, Felony Conspiracy and Driving Suspended.

Rauch was arraigned before Magistrate Steve Cox and a bond of $55,000 was set. He was remanded into the McDowell County Holding unit awaiting transport to the Southwestern Regional jail.
