MCDOWELL COUNTY, W.Va. – To increased COVID-19 testing opportunities for minorities and other vulnerable populations, the Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs, WV Department of Health and Human Resources, WV National Guard and McDowell County Health Department are providing free testing on August 7 and 8, 2020, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in McDowell County.
Testing will be conducted on Friday, August 7th, 2020 at Southside Middle School. 13509 Rocket Boys Drive, War, WV.
Testing will take place the following day, Saturday, August 8th, 2020 on the Tug Lot in Welch, 198 Tug Tower Addition Road.
This testing is available to all individuals in McDowell County, including asymptomatic individuals. Proof of insurance is not required.
Attendees should bring identification, such as a driver’s license or proof of address, to help in returning test results. Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Testing will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
