Jeffrey Lee Goforth age 58 who resided at 53 Jefferson Street in Kimball, WV, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, August 6, 2020, surrounded by his family in the comforts of his home.  Jeff was born November 13, 1961 in Welch, WV and the son of the late Walter L. and Sylvia Elaine (Scott) Goforth.  He was a graduate of Mount  View High School  and had attended WV University before joining the  U.S. Air Force.  While growing up he attended the First Baptist Church and in recent years had joined the Emmanuel Tabernacle Church both in Kimball.  For a number of years, he was employed at Welch Community Hospital in the Dietary Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James A., and his sister, Judith A. Goforth,  Jeffrey will be lovingly remembered by his devoted siblings:  Sylvia J. Robertson of Silver Spring, MD, Jacqueline E. (Alex) Crawley of Chatsworth, CA, Johnny L. Goforth of Dallas, TX and Janet M. Yeager of Ruffin, NC and a host of nephews and nieces, cousins, neighbors and friends.  Jeffrey L. Goforth’s Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 6605 New Hope Road in Bluewell, WV, with the Reverend George Masterson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Jeff’s family and friends will serve as both pallbearers and flower bearers.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., until the time of Service at the Chapel.   Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch, WV,  (to leave on-line condolences:  www.gregory-pagefh.com.)  Social distancing and wearing masks will be observed.
