Betty Lou Stevenson, 82, of Roderfield, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley. Born July 21, 1938 in Welch, she was the daughter of the late Ernest DeHaven and Bernice Price Line.
Betty was the former owner of the Quick Stop Market on the Welch-Iaeger Road.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Stevenson; one son, Stevie Stevenson; two infants, Sherri and Thomas Stevenson; and an infant grandson, Stevie Dewayne Stevenson.
Those left to cherish her memories are one daughter, Jennifer (Jeannie) Stevenson of the home; cousins, Robert Burcham and wife Linda of Fairview, NC; three grandchildren, Cierra Jade Stevenson, Thomas Jacob Stevenson, Zoie Rayne Stevenson Wade; her best friend, Phyllis Osborne of Princeton; and her special dog, Simba.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, August 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM from the Iaeger Memorial Cemetery in Roderfield with the Reverend Randall Dority, officiating.
There will be no visitation and services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, masks are to be worn by all attending and social distancing is to be practiced. Group size must be held to 25 people or less.
