David Wayne Ashworth passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 in Welch Community Hospital.
David was born June 4, 1992 in Welch, WV, a son of Joseph Hayes and the late Tina Ashworth. 
In addition to his mother, Tina Ashworth, David was preceded in death by his stepfather, Tim Gross and grandfathers, Roy Ashworth and Jim Hayes.
Left to cherish his memory are his companion and mother of his child, Jessica Horn Ashworth; his son, Jeremiah Ashworth; his father, Joseph Hayes; his grandmothers, Janice Ashworth and Irene Hayes; two brothers, Roy Ashworth and wife Allison and Dustin Ashworth of Berwind; sisters, Angie Gross, Crystal Gross and Elizabeth Gross; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.
Funeral services will be conducted, Saturday, August 29, 2020, at 1 o’clock with President Laxton officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in the Vanover Cemetery on Coon Branch Mountain near Iaeger, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit with the family Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 12 noon until the time of service.  
Services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, mask are to be worn by all attending, social distancing is to be practiced, and no more than 25 people may be in the gathering.
