Ms. Pamela D. Gustus age 67, a life long resident of Gary, WV, who peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in the comforts of her home.  She was born in Welch, WV on June 27, 1953 and the daughter of the late Margaret Gustus.  She was a graduate of Gary High School.  Until failing health, she was employed by the Tug River Clinic in Gary and for many years was employed by the Unemployment Office located in downtown Welch.  At an early age, she became a member of the (former) Conley Chapel A.M. E. Zion Church in Gary and later joined Mt. Harman Church in Thorpe, WV.   
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Willie Gustus, who raised her; the “joy of her life,” her son, Bryan Gustus and her only sister, Shelia Gustus Corbitt. 
Pam will lovingly be remembered by her only brother, John Gustus of Columbus, OH; her brother-in-law, Kevin Corbitt of Dayton, OH; her nephews and nieces:  Marquis C. Gustus, JuYanna W. Gustus, Chauncey Corbitt and Daja Corbitt; three aunts:  Helen E. Gustus and Annie Gustus both of Columbia, SC and Geneva Gustus of Florida; several cousins and her special friend and caregiver, Angie Townsend of Welch; her Tug River Clinic family, many long time friends and neighbors. 
Pam’s Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, August 28, 2020, with the Reverend George Masterson officiating at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 6605 New Hope Road in Bluewell, WV.  Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
