Billy Ray (Benny) Walker, 80, of Iaeger, WV, gained his Heavenly Wings Thursday, August 27, 2020.
Benny was born April 19, 1940 in Iaeger, WV, a son of the late Wade and Thelma Bowles Walker.  He retired from General Motors and was a member of Local Union 598.  Billy loved his cars and riding in parades; he liked to visit friends and family and enjoyed visiting the area establishments.  He was a character and will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by two brothers, Luther and Jack Walker.
Survivors include one daughter, Vicki Throckmorton and husband Kevin of Fairmont, WV; two sons, Billy R. Walker Jr of Letcher, SD, and Larry Walker and wife Santana of Premier, WV; Grandchildren, Erica Horn and husband Matt of Princeton, WV, Cortney Hines and husband Arron of Huron, SD, Michael Walker and Trulyannah Hahn of Reno, NV, great grandchildren, Lyla Nystrom of Princeton, WV and Eli Walker of Mitchell, SD; one brother, Terry “Pee Wee” Walker and wife Martha Mae of Sandy Huff, WV, two sisters, Faye Christian of Lenoir, NC and Barbara Jo Bailey of Bluefield, WV; and a special caregiver and great niece April Mullins.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 31, 2020 at 11 o’clock with Reverend Brenda Blankenship officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in Iaeger Memorial Cemetery at Roderfield, WV.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger Monday morning, August 31, 2020 from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, mask are to be worn by all attending and social distancing is to be practiced with no more than 25 people in attendance.
