JIMMY ALLEN


Jimmy Allen, 85, of Jolo, WV, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020.
Jimmy was born August 17, 1935 in Blackey, VA, a son of the late Elzie and Lovis Stacy Allen.  He preached and sing in Buchanan and McDowell County churches for over 40 years and was the pastor of the Three Forks Church of God for 25 years.  He also worked 41 years in the coal mines.
In addition to his parents, Elzie and Lovis Allen, Jimmy was preceded in death by, his first wife of 53 years and the mother of his children, Gaynall Payne Allen; second wife, Juanita Rowe Allen; brother, Billy Allen; infant brother, Herman Allen; infant sister, Thelma Allen; and an infant great-great grandson, Aaron Shane Dobbs II.   
Survivors include three sons, Larry Allen and wife Kathy of Jolo, WV, Johnny Allen and wife Brenda and Terry Allen all of Lebanon, TN; one daughter, Debbie Kennedy and husband Kenneth of Jolo, WV; nine grandchildren, Becky Dobbs, Justin Allen, Johnny Ray Allen Jr., Heather Allen, Mary Katelan Keene, Hope Kennedy, Misty Allen, Nicole French and Devon Meier; 19 great grandchildren, Courtney Kennedy, Shane, Austin and Hunter Dobbs, Genesis and Gage Allen, Quinn Allen, Adam and Zack Chapman, Cody and Cierra Aust, A.J. Fazio, Kallaonee Perry, Emery Keene, Aubrey French, Clive, Ellis, Emily and Ira Meier; six great-great grandchildren, Brayden, Weston and Natalie Kennedy, Autumn, Aubrey and Lucas Dobbs; two brothers, Everett Allen of Jolo, WV, and Willie Allen and wife Pat of Mt. Juliet, TN; and one sister Robyn Mullins of Jolo, WV.  
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 1 o’clock with Reverend Charles Rose and Reverend Danny Bowles officiating at the Three Forks Church of God at Jolo, WV.  Burial will follow in the White Cemetery on White Mountain near Pea Patch, VA.   Johnny Ray Allen, Shane, Ramey, Austin and Hunter Dobbs and Kenny Allen will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit with the family Tuesday evening, September 1, 2020 after 6 p.m. at the Three Forks Church of God where evening services will be conducted at 7 p.m.
Services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, mask are to be worn by all attending and social distancing is to be practiced.
