Victor Davis, 83, of Grundy, VA, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020.   Victor was formerly of Paynesville, WV, where he made his home with his nephew, Larry Davis and his late wife Martha for over 30 years.
Victor was born November 19, 1937, in Paynesville, WV.  He was a son of the late John Henry and Lydia Horn Davis.  Victor was the last surviving member of his original family.
In addition to his parents, John Henry and Lydia Davis, Victor was preceded in death by two very special aunts who raised him, Nancy and Lottie Carter; a special niece Martha Davis; his step mother, Callie Horn, brothers, Cornelious, Artemus (Buster), Ira, Earl, Bill, Eunice and JC; and sisters, Loretta and Lennie.
Survivors include a special nephew, Larry Davis and his daughter, Tressa McClanahan and husband Ronald and their family all of Paynesville, WV; a special niece, Carol Mullins of Paynesville, WV; a special friend, Paul Kennedy and numerous additional nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 1 o’clock with Reverend Bob Cole officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger.  Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery on Brushy Ridge at Paynesville, WV.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit with the family Friday evening, September 4, 2020 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV; evening services will be held at 7 p.m.
Services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, mask are to be worn by all attending and social distancing is to be practiced with no more than 25 people in attendance.
