Welch Fire Department Ladder Truck to Deploy for Kimball 9/11 Memorial

KIMBALL, W.Va. – ’Tower Two’ the Welch Fire Department’s ladder truck will deploy to Kimball Friday evening to help in Kimball’s 9 11 Memorial.

“I spoke with Welch Fire Chief Denny Hale and the truck operator, Clarence Orndorff. They are going to deploy the truck and suspend from the bucket a large American flag that will be the center of our ceremony,” said Kimball Police Chief S. P. “Pat” McKinney.

“We enjoy a wonderful working relationship between the cities of Welch and Kimball and their two fire departments,” commented Kimball Mayor Adam Gianato, “I am very proud to be a member of both departments and happy the ladder truck will present the flag.”

The lineup for the parade is Friday at 630 P. M. at the Kimball Elementary School and the parade will travel through town to the town hall at 7:00 PM. A brief memorial service will be held in front of city hall after the parade. Social Distancing and masks during ceremony recommended.
