Pictured above are staff of the McDowell County Career and Technical Center’s Practical Nursing Program and 2020 graduate Nikkia Dickerson. Each year, the West Virginia Adult Education Association, Inc., recognizes a practical nursing student who has overcome obstacles to complete their journey in becoming a nurse. The student is nominated by their instructors and are asked to write a short summary about the student. Ms. Dickerson was chosen as a runner-up and was awarded a monetary gift from the West Virginia Adult Education Association. Mrs. Bivens and Mrs. Hagerman are grateful for the recognition and award given.
