Jonathan Ray Lester of Tazewell, VA, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
Jonathan was born May 13, 1999 in Richlands, VA, a son of John R Lester and Barbara Hawks Lester.  He was an EMT and loved his job.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Homer and Macie Lester and his maternal grandfather, William Hawks.
Survivors include his father, John R. Lester of Cedar Bluff, VA; his mother, Barbara Hawks Lester of Cedar Bluff, VA; one brother, William Lester of Cedar Bluff and one sister Brittney Nicole Lester also of Cedar Bluff; his girlfriend Corenna Asbury of Tazewell, VA; maternal grandmother, Joyce Hawks of Paynesville, WV; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 21, 2020 at 12 o’clock with Elder Jerry Stacy and Elder Freddy Vance officiating at the Followers of Christ Church in Paynesville, WV. Burial will follow in the Preston Mullins Cemetery on Baker Fork near Paynesville, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit with the family Sunday evening, September 20, 2020 after 6 p.m. at the Followers of Christ church at Paynesville, WV, with evening services at 7 p.m.
Services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, mask are to be worn by all attending and social distancing is to be practiced.
