WELCH, W.Va. – SAFE, Inc. is leading volunteers to help with COVID-19 by providing PPE bags to some of the elderly in our communities.
These bags include items that are in a shortage due to COVID-19, including: hand sanitizer, toilet paper, paper towels, bleach, facial tissue, lotion, face masks, disinfectant spray, antibacterial dish liquid, and a reusable bag.
Alice Walker, Executive Director of SAFE, stated that this project was so helpful to the elderly population and that she is proud of the SAFE staff and volunteers for working together to be able to provide this service.
This project is made possible with support by Volunteer West Virginia. Stop Abusive Family Environments, Inc. (SAFE) received a $250.00 mini-grant from Volunteer West Virginia to host a Be Kind, COVID-19 volunteer project, a campaign created to spread to kindness and volunteerism during the pandemic.
