WELCH, W.Va. – USDA WV Director Kris Warner & USDA Area Specialist Jeff Owens presents a grant of almost $50,000 to help improve the Welch and Bradshaw Senior Centers.

Members of the McDowell County Commission on Aging Board of Directors were presented the award, along with Executive Director Dr. Donald Reed.

The funds will be used for new kitchen & dining room equipment for Welch and Bradshaw Centers, office desks and chairs, and a used vehicle.

The McDowell County Commission, the City of Welch, and the town of Bradshaw supported this grant request. Senator Rollan Roberts and Madison Stone from Congresswoman Carol Millers office joined the USDA.
