John Benton Ward, 48, of Yukon, WV, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at his residence.
John was born February 10, 1972 in Welch, WV, a son of Benton and Frances Dawson Ward.  John was a coal miner and enjoyed shooting guns and racing.
John was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Claudine Dawson and Sam and Dorothy Ward.
Survivors include three daughters, Amber Endicott and husband Bryan of Yukon, WV, Allison Ward and fiance Colten of Mullens, WV and Casee Ward of War, WV; one granddaughter, Brylee Endicott of Yukon, WV; two brothers, Frankie Ward and wife Joy of Abs Valley, VA and Robbie Ward and wife Tammy of Atwell, WV; one sister, Michelle Brown and husband Kenny of Yukon, WV; special friends, Clark Kennedy, Dooley Johnson and Larry Vandyke; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning, November 19, 2020 at 11 o’clock with reverend Ricky Muncy, Reverend Charles Rose and Reverend Coy Baker officiating at the #2 Yukon Community Church at Yukon, WV.  Burial will follow in the Ward Family Cemetery on White Mountain near Jewell Ridge, VA.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit with the family Wednesday evening, November 18, 2020 after 5 p.m. at the #2 Yukon Community Church at Yukon, WV.
Services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, mask are to be worn by all attending and social distancing is to be practiced.
