Robert Steven Druggish (better known as Bobby or Bodie to his family and friends), 68 of Thompson Valley, Va., passed away January 2, 2021 at Wake Forest Medical Center from injuries sustained in a car wreck on December 19, 2020.
Bobby was born in Welch, WV on May 27, 1952 to Millie Mike Druggish and Lorene “Lo” Druggish. He grew up in Raysal and graduated from Big Creek High School in 1970. He was an avid Richard Petty fan, a lover of Jeopardy and he was a Ford man from way back.
Over the years, Bobby worked for Olga Coal Company, Dove Signs, Rapoca Coal Company. Most recently he was employed with Volvo in Dublin, VA where he became good friends with many of his co-workers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Millie and Lorene Druggish. Those left to cherish his memory are his sister Donna Puckett and husband Merle of Raysal, niece Christy Wiseman and husband Mike of Hemphill, three special nieces Brittany Puckett of Welch, Stacy Estep of Raysal and Hannah Puckett of Raysal, girlfriend Carol Rowe of Gray, TN, and best friend who was like a brother, Hammy Addair and wife Lynette (and all their family) of Abingdon, VA and many friends.
Funeral services for Bobby will be conducted on Thursday evening, January 7, 2021 from the chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Visitation will be from 6-7, with the Reverend Chad Estep officiating the service at 7:00. The committal service will be at 12:00 pm on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger is serving the family.
Services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, mask are to be worn by all attending and social distancing is to be practiced with no more than 25 people in attendance.
